Growing up in Los Angeles, Dr. Mohanty completed his undergraduate training at California State University Los Angeles. He regularly spent time with family in rural India during his upbringing, and was frequently stricken by his family’s medical challenges in low-income and resource-limited settings. This was his initial inspiration to pursue a career in medicine with a focus on global health.
After earning his Medical Degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2016, Dr. Mohanty went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at Mather Hospital in New York. During this time, he played multiple roles in global health initiatives in Guatemala, Haiti, and Zambia.
With a determination to pursue a career in global health, Dr. Mohanty completed the Global Health Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Through this fellowship, he developed relationships with the Botswana Harvard Partnership and Scottish Livingstone Hospital in Molepolole, Botswana.
Working towards better health, the doctor is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts, Dr. Mohanty is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Needham, and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Plymouth.
