Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Sara Talken, who serves patients throughout the State of Kansas.

Dr. Talken is an obstetrician-gynecologist at Specialists in Women’s Care, tending to patients at their offices in Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas. She offers comprehensive women’s care, from well-woman exams and routine gynecology to pregnancy care and management of menopause and mid-life issues and conditions. She can also be found on staff at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Completing her medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Talken attended the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center for her post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynecology, where she served as Chief Resident and received both student excellence and medical student teaching awards.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
