Internist | Obesity Medicine
360 Bloomfield Ave 301 Windsor CT, 06095About
Dr. Christine Najjar is a CT licensed Internist, Obesity Medicine specialist, and certified Metabolic Health Practitioner. She has a master’s degree in human nutrition from Columbia University and a bachlor's degree in biochemisty from McGill University. She started Food First MD, a metabolic medicine practice, on a mission to bring health back to healthcare with most underutilized medicine, food.
Dr. Christine prescribes personalized nutrition and lifesstyle plans to help patients lose weight, reduce pain, improve memory, gain focus, calm anxiety, strengthen bones, and build muscle. This has the potential to reduce (or eliminate) the need for traditional medications. The metabolic approach is delicious, refreshing and customizes food as medicine to balance hormones and transform the way cells create energy, making patients look and feel like new people!
Dr. Christine was drawn to the practice of metabolic medicine after struggling to optimize her own health following conventional advice.
When Dr. Christine is not walking her dog, reading a book, playing cards with her husband or enjoying the beauty (and challenges) of being a new mom, she can be found in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and dishes. Cooking is not only her passion, but also a form of practicing what she preaches.
Now accepting new patients in office and via Telemedicine.
