Get to know Naturopathic Physician Dr. Wafaa George Matti, who serves patients throughout the State of California.

Recognized as a very resilient, committed, caring, and understanding naturopathic physician, Dr. Matti serves patients at her private practice – Santa Teodora Naturopathic Medicine- La Mesa, California. She also serves patients at Integrative Health Solutions- La Jolla, California. She takes an integrative approach to her naturopathic primary care practice, applying evidence-based medicine and clinical experience. Her areas of clinical interest include IV nutritional therapy, platelet rich plasma PRP and hair restoration, prolotherapy, nutritional evaluation, gut health, hormone imbalance, chronic pain, and women’s health.

As a naturopathic physician, she is committed to enhancing the patient’s health, well-being, and overall quality of life. She is dedicated to practicing naturopathic medicine to strive to serve the best interests of her patients by keeping current with research and clinical education. She ensures that the latest treatments and progressive knowledge are continually integrated into her practice in order to provide patients with the latest expertise and exemplary care. Her focus is on the “underlying causes of illness” rather than just treating symptoms through the principles of naturopathic medicine.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Matti studied for her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Bastyr University California School of Naturopathic Medicine, which is a 4-year accredited naturopathic medical School and a leader in science-based natural medicine and research. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Applied Arts from San Diego State University, as well as Associate degrees in Science and Arts from the Grossmont Cuyamaca Community District.

Maintaining fellowship status, she is a Fellow of the American Cancer Society (FACS), and Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA).

Licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in the state of California, the doctor is an active member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the American Nutrition Association, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine.

Active in academia, Dr. Matti has been a professional TA/ND at Bastyr University California since July 2017.

The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods. Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. Happily married, she lives with her husband and her three children in San Diego, California. Her hobbies include listening to music, gardening, reading books, dancing, and hiking. She is fluent in English, Arabic, and Aramaic.
