Get to know Family Nurse Practitioner, Monica Marie Orozco-Cantillo, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

Monica is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has more than 20 years experience in the healthcare field. She currently sees patients at her private practice – Quality NP Health Services – in Miami, Florida. She is trained in the field of family practice, specializing in women’s and men’s health, with emphasis in anti-aging with bio-identical hormone replacement. She also manages acute and chronic diseases and uses a combination of functional and evidence-based medicine to treat her clientele. 

Her nursing career is further embodied with ICU, step down, medical surgical, and urgent care experience. Additionally, she has over 11 years of telemedicine experience, and was one of the pioneers in the telehealth field.

Initially trained as a paramedic, Monica fell in love with the medical field and pursued her career in nursing. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Miami Dade College, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Western Governors University. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain University in 2018.

Constantly educating herself, she has received certification in peptides, neuromodulators-botulinum toxins, and dermal fillers. She believes beauty is a reflection of good health, which is accentuated with aesthetics.

A Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) holds board certification and provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and body systems. FNPs maintain patient records, perform physical exams, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, as well as treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries that fall under primary care.
