Get to know Interventional Pain Management Specialist Dr. Babak Bedayat, who serves patients in Culpeper, Virginia.

Dr. Bedayat is an interventional pain management specialist with a background training in physical medicine & rehabilitation. He works at Wellspring Family Practice & Walk-In Clinic, and Wellspring Specialty Clinic, both of which are located in Culpeper, Virginia.

Bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in both chronic pain management and interventional pain services, he offers: bursa injections, caudal epidurals, epidural Steroid injections, facet medial branch blocks, joint injections, peripheral nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, Spinal cord stimulators, and trigger point injections.

After completing medical school at Shahid Beheshti (National) University of Medical Sciences in Iran, Dr. Bedayat undertook his residency training in anesthesiology at Mass General Hospital (Harvard school of medicine) in Boston in the United States. He further went on to complete a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation & a fellowship in pain medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center and in California.

Prior to relocating to Virginia to work with Wellness Health Services, he had been in private practice working at the Pain & Spine Center of Florida for several years. 

Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. Rather than just prescribing medication or only recommending physical therapy, an interventional pain management specialist utilizes all sources of treatment to eliminate pain in the fastest and most effective way possible for each individual patient.

On a more personal note, Dr. Bedayat is fluent in both English and Farsi.
