Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Junaid J. Mukhdomi, who serves patients in New Albany, Ohio.

Dr. Mukhdomi is a highly trained pain management specialist with a deep commitment to improving the quality of life for his patients. His clinical interests include persistent post-surgical pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain, neck pain, vascular pain, abdominal pain, cancer pain, and chronic regional pain syndrome.

At Pain Zero, he utilizes advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided procedures and fluoroscopy to help people suffering from pain. His goal is to optimize pain control, enhance patients’ abilities to function, and improve their physical and psychological well-being. His practice emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach that closely meets individual needs.

Academically, Dr. Mukhdomi obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at The Ohio State University before earning his medical and Master of Health Administration degrees at Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, before completing his fellowship in pain medicine at Rush University Medical Center.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in pain medicine and anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

In order to remain up to date in his field, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

With a passion for medical innovation and research, Dr. Mukhdomi has published on various topics related to pain management, including neuromodulation and minimizing opioid consumption following surgeries. He also has extensive training in acute and chronic pain management, ultrasound therapies, and fluoroscopic procedures.

Pain management is a unique branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with pain with the aim of improving everyday function.
