Certification by the ABP has one objective – to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), an organization of 67 ,000 pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. De Santos examines, diagnoses, and treats children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. He understands that children change rapidly and they must be approached with an appreciation for their stage of physical and mental development. Moreover, he provides full pediatric services, including general consultations, regular checkups, and treatment for acute and chronic diseases.
