Furthering his training, he performed his residency in general surgery at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center from July of 2013 until June of 2014. He also served as a flight surgeon with the 3rd Battalion 1st Infantry Division Combat Aviation Brigade in Fort Riley, Kansas from August of 2014 until June of 2016, and performed an additional residency in orthopedic surgery at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center from July of 2016 until June of 2021.
