Get to know Dentist Dr. Peter Balacky, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Peter Balacky, a highly skilled and compassionate dental professional, is a native of New York with a rich background in dentistry. His expertise encompasses the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He places a strong emphasis on dentoalveolar and implant surgery, with a particular focus on Full Arch Implant Rehabilitation.

With a broad educational background, the doctor’s academic foundation was laid at Stony Brook University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology, demonstrating his early passion for the field of healthcare. Subsequently, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, cementing his commitment to the dental profession.

Driven by a burgeoning interest in surgical dentistry, Dr. Balacky embarked on a journey of further specialization. He completed a one-year residency in General Practice Dentistry at NYU Langone, during which he honed his surgical skills. His passion for surgery then led him to undertake a rigorous four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwell Health- LIJ.

Among his other roles, he rotated at various prestigious hospitals, including Stony Brook University Hospital, Northport VA Medical Center, Northshore University Hospital, and Nassau County Medical Center. These rotations exposed him to a broad spectrum of medical disciplines, including Plastic Surgery, ENT, General Surgery, Medicine, and Anesthesiology.

Having relocated to California with his wife, Dr. Balacky took over the practice of Dr. Kevin Lew, where he continues to uphold the tradition of treating every patient as if they were a beloved family member.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

On a more personal note, Dr. Balacky enjoys the simple pleasures of life, including trips to the beach, traveling to new destinations, and cherishing moments with his wife and family.
