Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Neelima Kunam, who serves patients in California.

A board-certified adult psychiatrist, Dr. Kunam is in private practice, operating out of her offices in Redlands, Eastvale, and San Juan Capistrano, California. She treats adult patients or 8+ and is dedicated to helping individuals find the right treatment plan - whether it involves therapy, medications, lifestyle changes or all three.

Also seeing patients online, she is trained to diagnose and treat the following conditions: ADHD, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, bipolar 2 disorder, major depressive disorder, adjustment disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, smoking cessation, alcohol use disorder, and many more. 

A 2012 graduate of Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Dr. Kunam relocated to the United States to pursue her training. She studied at Henry Ford Hospital, completing her residency in psychiatry in 2017.

An expert in her field, she is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. 

Holding a California medical license, Dr. Kunam is also affiliated with Chino Valley Medical Center. She has a special interest in maternal mental health, and one can schedule an appointment to specifically discuss the risks and benefits of using prescription psychiatric medications during pregnancy and after pregnancy.
