Dr. Samantha Baginski is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Practitioner in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Samantha Baginski, DO, CAQSM, joins Ortho San Antonio as a primary care sports medicine physician, bringing her expertise in concussion management, joint preservation, and ultrasound-guided injections to patients across the region.
With offices located in Medical Center, Alamo Heights, Westover Hills, and Southside of San Antonio, Dr. Baginski is committed to providing exceptional care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Her dedication to patient well-being perfectly aligns with Ortho San Antonio’s mission to deliver top-notch medical services.
Dr. Baginski’s impressive academic background includes graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following her studies, she completed her internship and residency in the Family and Community Medicine program at UT Health San Antonio, where she was recognized as the Intern of the Year and received the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. She further specialized in primary care sports medicine through a fellowship with CHRISTUS Health, where she now serves as the Associate Program Director.
As a board certified physician in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Baginski is also an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
In her line of work, she enjoys working on the sidelines of local high school football games, covering boxing matches through USA Boxing, as well as being a part of the medical team for the University of the Incarnate Word and Our Lady of the Lake University.
Sports and being active have always been an integral part of her life, as Dr. Baginski grew up wake surfing, paddle boarding, and wakeboarding at lakes in the Midwest. Additionally, she is a proficient tennis player who competes in local leagues in San Antonio and enjoys playing with her husband.
Bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, Dr. Baginski effectively communicates with a diverse patient population.
