Get to know Internist Dr. Tarec Micho, who serves patients throughout the State of Michigan.

A prominent internist, Dr. Micho is affiliated with Henry Ford Health, working with patients at Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he graduated with his medical degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria in 2015. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Detroit Medical Center in 2022.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Micho is fluent in both English and Arabic.
