A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Vargo pursued his passion for dentistry at the University of Texas School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Following his formal education, he honed his skills through a rigorous residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio.

Dr. Vargo’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of dental services, ranging from routine fillings to complex full-mouth rehabilitation, periodontal surgery, dental implant placement, Invisalign®, and cosmetic restorations. His commitment to staying at the forefront of dental advancements led him to complete the prestigious core curriculum at The Dawson Academy in 2019. This intensive 160-hour continuing education continuum underscored his dedication to comprehensive patient care.

As a testament to his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Vargo attained Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry—an accolade bestowed upon a select few dentists who demonstrate exceptional proficiency through rigorous examination and a substantial commitment to continuing education.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
