Krystal Mitchell, MD, MBA, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and double fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon in Beverly Hills, CA. Dr. Mitchell graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell-Molecular Biology from Oklahoma City University. She went on to complete her Master of Business Administration at Oklahoma Christian University and obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma. Following this, she successfully completed her internship at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and her residency in dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. While at Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Mitchell actively contributed to the Root Cause Analysis Committee and the GME Diversity Council. Additionally, she led a community-engaged initiative that received grant funding to address Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia.

Dr. Mitchell is recognized as a rising star in the field of dermatology. Her background as a former pharmaceutical microbiologist and her experience as the founder and CEO of a non-profit organization has been instrumental in shaping her career. She is one of the co-founding members of the Gloderm Trainee Committee, which was previously known as iDerm Global. In addition, Dr. Mitchell serves on various committees for professional organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS), and the Skin of Color Society (SOCS). Her contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including her selection as a finalist for the position of Resident Representative to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). Dr. Mitchell has published several articles that contribute to the education of residents and empower patients.
