    The outer-most layer of your teeth actually contains small pores that can stain over time. Coffee is a classic substance that can stain the enamel of your teeth. Using a whitening toothpaste daily can help some but if you really want to blast away stains, ask your dentist about a whitening procedure they can recommend. This can be a single appointment using a powerful whitening agent (not found in stores) along with a special light that activates the whitening agent. This single-visit teeth whitening service usually takes about an hour and can whiten your teeth 7, 8, or even 9 shades whiter.   • How long does it take to get a crown?

    Usually, a crown can be a two-appointment ordeal. This would be one appointment for a temporary crown to be placed just so you're not left with having to deal with a damaged tooth. During this same appointment, you'll likely have an impression of the tooth or prepped surface taken that can get sent out to a lab. While you're wearing your temporary crown, the lab will work on a permanent and naturaly looking crown that will be placed on a second visit. IF you have the ability to look for an office with a CEREC machine, this will allow an office to digitally scan the area AND make the permanent crown out of porcelain via a special CNC milling machine.
