After earning his undergraduate degree in nutritional science from the University of California, Davis, Dr. Vellequette relocated to New York for graduate school. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and minored in periodontics.
With his extensive background and continuing dedication to the field of dentistry, he attends about 200 hours of continuing education courses annually in orthodontics, endodontics, dental implants, crowns, veneers, and other advanced dental techniques.
To ensure he stays up to date with the latest and most advanced dental procedures, Dr. Vellequette maintains several professional memberships. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Cranio Mandibular Institute, among several others. He even served on legislative committees and as an alternate delegate for the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
One of about 1,000 practitioners to hold the prestigious mastership award, Dr. Vellequette is both a Master and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD and FAGD).
His principal professional goal is to set the standard for excellence in the practice and delivery of dental care. Being able to do this involves teaching other dentists the art and science of advanced aesthetic dentistry throughout the United States.
Having been a hands-on clinical instructor for over 10 years, Dr. Vellequette mentored other dentists in techniques of smile design for creating beautiful smiles for their patients.
