Get to know Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Cristian Franceschi Torres, who serves patients in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Cristian is a certified registered nurse anesthetist who has been working at San Lucas Episcopal Medical Center since September of 2021. 

Taking an all-encompassing role in supporting a patient’s wellbeing, he interacts directly with patients to ensure that they receive quality care, understands physician instructions, and has access to the services needed to maintain optimal health. 

The success of San Lucas Episcopal Medical Center is based on the pastoral mission of the Episcopal Church, on the human quality of its staff, and on the professional preparation of its medical faculty. Its mission is to offer patients and family members high-quality health services, through the best medical faculty and personnel in Puerto Rico.

Academically, Cristian graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 2017. He then went on to earn his Master’s degree in Anesthesia Nursing from Antillean Adventist University in 2021.

Through the American Heart Association, he holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a crucial role in the success of a variety of medical procedures. They work in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists, and other professionals to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia.
