Get to know Neurologist Dr. Gabriela Perez, who serves patients in Hialeah, Florida.

A knowledgeable neurologist, Dr. Perez serves as an attending neurologist at Palmetto General Hospital and at Hialeah Hospital. 

Educated in the United States, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Florida International University in 2012, and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Perez is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, and the Florida Medical Association.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

On a more personal note, Dr. Perez attributes her success to the unwavering support of her husband and family, her passion and drive for her work, and her strong commitment to the community. During her leisure time, she finds solace in beach vacations, where she can relax and rejuvenate. She engages in various hobbies and sports, including weight lifting, exercise classes, yoga, exploring museums, culinary arts and cooking. She also has an adventurous spirit and enjoys scuba diving in the wonders of the underwater world.
