Growing up in Brooklyn, New York with her siblings, Dr. Vayner remained in the area until she completed her Masters’ Degree in Public Health. Afterwards, she headed to the Midwest to earn her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree from Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Choosing to advance her knowledge and experience in the practice of dentistry, Dr. Vayner attended a 1-year General Practitioner Residency at Abington-Jefferson Hospital in Pennsylvania. During her time there, she quickly recognized her passion for the surgical specialty and continued her post-graduate training as an Oral Surgery Intern at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Her time as an intern gave her a true appreciation for the importance of saving teeth and preserving her patients’ natural dentition.

Continuing her education in the field of periodontics, Dr. Vayner pursued a 3-year surgical residency in periodontics and oral implantology at Temple University, where she earned her Master of Science Degree. During her time at Temple University, she conducted research on antibiotic resistance among periodontal pathogens under the guidance of Professor Thomas E. Rams. Her work led to research presentations at prestigious events like the Northeastern Implant Symposium and the American Academy of Osseointegration. Furthermore, her abstract was accepted for presentation at the 2022 Research Forum of the American Academy of Periodontology.

In 2023, Dr Vayner achieved her latest milestone by becoming a board certified in periodontology through the American Board of Periodontology (ABP). The ABP is the only nationally recognized certification board for the dental specialty of periodontics.

Periodontics is the dental specialty focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth.
