Get to know Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Priscilla Carmona, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

A licensed clinical social worker, Priscilla is a part of the team of professionals at  in New Jersey. She is very open to working with a diversity of clients who are open to addressing their personal challenges for optimal emotional wellness.

Utilizing humanistic and strength-based approaches, Priscilla provides a nurturing and open minded environment for clients to heal their emotional wounds, grow in their goals, and excel throughout life trajectory. Her diverse background awards her the opportunity to understand complex trauma, facilitate cultural awareness, and bring to light inner strengths. 

In terms of her academic journey, Priscilla obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Subsequently, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Social Work and her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Social Work at Fordham University.

As part of her professional accomplishments, Priscilla holds certifications in ARC Grow, Nurturing Heart, and Psychoanalysis. She is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Counselor in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.

Social work is an academic discipline and profession that concerns itself with individuals, families, groups, and communities in an effort to enhance social functioning and overall well-being. A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) works with patients in order to help them deal with issues involving mental and emotional health. There are a wide variety of specializations the LCSW can focus on, including mental health issues, substance abuse, public health, school social work, medical social work, marriage counseling or children and family therapy.  

A Puerto Rico native, Priscilla speaks both English and Spanish.
