  • Is acupuncture effective in treating chronic pain?

Acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine is very effective at treating chronic pain. The CDC and WHO recommend acupuncture for pain management in their pain management guidelines, and it has been well studied and confirmed as effective for most chronic pain. Neck pain in specific does respond well to acupuncture, with reduced pain scores and increased range of motion happening after every treatment. How long the relief lasts depends on what happened to start the injury, how long its been present, and other symptoms and signs of disease or disorder in the body. The herbal formulas help address underlying issues and improve circulation as well. Sincerely, D. • Can acupuncture heal anxiety?

Good evening. Acupuncture and herbal medicine work hand in hand to help relieve anxiety. There are many root causes we search out, and tailor the treatment to improve the condition. Sometimes it will take a month of weekly treatments per year or so that the condition has persisted, but often we can see lasting improvements after 8-12 treatments. Sincerely, D. • Can you fix muscle tightness?

Good afternoon. Muscle tightness in the back can be fairly easy to relieve, depending on the underlying problem. While I can say with certainty that you will feel relief, I cannot say for how long each treatment's relief will last until I understand what caused the tension originally. Sincerely, D. • How can I get rid of muscle spasms?

Acupuncture can help balance fluid movement in the body to relieve spasms, so long as your nutrition and hydration are fairly good. At home yourself, you may consider an epsom salt bath if you have the mobility for it. Sincerely, D. Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a technique in which thin needles are inserted into the body and in some cases, electro-stimulation is applied to gently stimulate particular regions of the body. Acupuncture is also used to maintain general health and well-being. Acupuncturists treat a variety of physical and psychological issues, such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, digestive disorders, and infertility.

On a more personal note, Glenn and his wife, Genevieve, are the proud parents of six wonderful children, accompanied by the presence of a large and friendly family dog.
