Dr. David B. Van Holla, MD, a board certified general psychiatrist, serves as Interim CEO of Superior Genomics, LLC and as a Scientific Advisor at Paradise Genomics, Inc. His main emphases are in practicing general outpatient psychiatry, teaching students and residents, and overseeing genomic discovery in the field of mental/behavioral health.

Bringing over 20 years of practicing experience in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Dr. Van Holla has practiced in a privately owned solo practice in Norway, Michigan while simultaneously serving as an attending psychiatrist with the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center. His extensive background also includes valuable experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he participated in the speakers bureau for several major pharmaceutical companies.

A 1999 graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Van Holla proceeded to join the Marquette General Health System’s Family Practice Residency Program from 1999 to 2000. Recognizing great needs in mental health, he transitioned his residency to psychiatry at Michigan State University from 2000 to 2003. 

Board certified in psychiatry, Dr. Van Holla is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

In addition to his certification, Dr. Van Holla is honored to be recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), showcasing his notable contributions and commitment to the psychiatric profession.
