As a registered nurse and diabetes care and education specialist, I have over 9 years of experience in providing health education and public health services to diverse populations. I am currently certified by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) and have completed multiple device trainings including Omnipod 5, Dexcom G7 and Freestyle Libre 3. I have also demonstrated my proficiency in Spanish, which enables me to communicate effectively with patients and families from different cultural backgrounds. My most recent role was at Ascension, where I worked with patients to improve their diabetes management and quality of life. Before that, I managed a branch of chronic disease programs at the Texas Department of State Health Services, where I oversaw a budget of over $5 million and contributed to grant writing and legislative processes. My mission is to empower people with diabetes to achieve their health goals and prevent complications. I am passionate about community health and wellness, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies to enhance my practice. I would love to join a team that shares my vision and values, and that can offer me opportunities to grow and make a difference.
