Dr. Costa, a graduate of the Federal University of Ceara Faculty of Medicine, completed his Medical Degree in 2020 and has since continued to excel in his field.
After graduating, Dr. Costa embarked on a rigorous residency in internal medicine at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Morningside/West, where he honed his clinical skills from 2021 to 2024. His efforts also extend to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he serves as a Clinical Research Affiliate in the Department of Medicine, Myeloma and Cellular Therapy Service.
Dr. Costa’s dedication to plasma cell disorders, T-cell redirecting therapies, supportive oncology, and cancer health equity reflects his commitment to improving patient outcomes and access to care. His involvement in several esteemed professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society for Medical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the International Myeloma Society, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American Association for Cancer Research, underscores his active participation in shaping the future of oncology.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field, Dr. Costa has received numerous honors. Notably, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Lambda Chapter, in June 2024.
