Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Eric Freeman, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

A highly trained pain management specialist, Dr. Freeman is the Founder and Medical Director of Redefine Health Orthopedic Pain & Spine Center – previously known as Freeman Spine & Pain Institute.

He graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UMDNJ John F. Kennedy / Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. He then went on to complete his fellowship in interventional pain management of spine disorders at the Florida Spine Institute.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice, the doctor is board-certified in pain medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOBA). The AOBA is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the administration of anesthetic agents and perioperative medicine.

To boot, Dr. Freeman is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR). The AOBPMR is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the treatment of patients with physical impairments or disabilities.

Among his professional affiliations, he is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (Immediate Past President), the New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Spinal Injection Society, the American Interventional Headache Society, the Society of Practice Pain Management, and the World Institute of Pain.

Involved in the education of other physicians, along with the best injury doctors, Dr. Freeman performs lectures and publishes textbook chapters for Board Certification testing. By attending and conducting numerous seminars in the field of interventional pain management and minimally-invasive spine techniques, he continues to be at the forefront in the treatment of all spine and pain disorders.
