At his private practice, he offers cutting-edge therapy and a conservative individualized approach with holistic care tailored to each patient’s personal needs and each heart’s unique therapy. Such cardiovascular and heart & rhythm management services include: heart disease prevention and risk factors, ultrasound echocardiography and vascular ultrasound, stress testing, event monitoring, rhythm disorders treatment, and cardiac rhythm devices: implants, management & monitoring, among others.
Born in Lebanon, Dr. Choucair received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He completed his residency in internal medicine at George Washington University, and his fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, respectively.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiac electrophysiology is the science of elucidating, diagnosing, and treating the electrical activities of the heart. A clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, or cardiac EP, is a healthcare provider who treats heart rhythm problems. A cardiac EP is a type of cardiologist.
An expert in his field, Dr. Choucair has contributed to a number of publications, including the Journal of the American Heart Association, The American Journal of Cardiology, and Washington University School of Medicine.
