Can my lateral tilted hips be corrected?
When the spine curves in scoliosis, then the bones connected to it have to move along with the change. This includes the pelvis at the bottom, and ribs and shoulders at the top. The hips are part of the pelvis and so the pelvis may tilt and unlevel hips can occur. The hips will regain level by whatever amount the brace is able to correct the curve of the spine. At the same time, the hips typically rotate a bit and make other adjustments to help you walk with both legs sharing the work evenly. William S. Pease, M.D. READ MORE
