We offer a full range of orthopaedic care, including sports rehabilitation, joint replacement, rheumatology, hand and upper extremity care, foot and ankle care, and pediatric orthopaedics. Our physicians are committed to exhausting every conservative treatment option before recommending surgical intervention. Some of her areas of expertise include: carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, wrist and hand fractures, Dupuytren’s contracture, hand laceration repairs of nerve, artery and tendon, as well as pain, fracture, and dislocation of the hand and wrist.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1998 after she earned her medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. She completed her residency at Henry Ford Health Science Center in Detroit, followed by her fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore.

Among her various achievements, Dr. Silon has published articles on various topics, including one on distal radius fractures in the Journal of Hand Surgery and on endoscopic carpal tunnel release in the Journal of Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery. A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, she is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and hand surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
