Get to know Internist Dr. Ian D. Kleinhen, who serves patients in Windsor, Connecticut. 

Dr. Kleinhen is a well-versed internist with a strong emphasis on wellness and prevention established through a personalized healthcare approach. He is in practice with Windsor Medical Associates, LLC, which is a part of Hartford Hospital. 

Bringing more life to more lives, he is also affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford. He takes the time to provide each patient with an individualized, unique healthcare plan structured to meet not only their current but their future goals as well.

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in 1991, Dr. Kleinhen went on to obtain his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 1995. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in 1997, followed by an additional residency in internal medicine at UConn Health in 1999.

In his continued efforts to advance in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the ASIM Connecticut Chapter, the Hartford County Medical Association, and the Connecticut State Medical Society.

With over two decades of experience in his field, Dr. Kleinhen is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
