Get to know Dentist Dr. Michael J. Hansen, who serves patients in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Recognized as a skilled dentist, Dr. Hansen has been creating happy, healthy smiles for the entire family in private practice in Cedarburg, Wisconsin since 1974. 

Combining years of experience, he and his hand-selected staff offer general, cosmetic, and specialty dentistry for people of all ages. Recognized throughout the years for outstanding work, their goal is to educate and treat patients to help maintain optimal dental health for a lifetime.

On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Hansen attended St. Norbert College, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Illinois. 

An active and involved resident in his community, his involvements include the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce and Cedarburg Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association and the American Dental Association. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with his wife and family; he has four children and a grandson. He also enjoys bird and game hunting.
