Dr. Scott A. Roberson, at Independence Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care tailored to meet the needs of families in the community. With a comprehensive range of services that includes cosmetic, restorative, and preventive dentistry, Dr. Roberson aims to help patients achieve and maintain their healthiest smiles for a lifetime.

A proud native of Independence, Missouri, Dr. Roberson has deep roots in the community. He graduated with a Degree in Biology from the University of Missouri at Columbia and completed his dental education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1979. Since then, he has dedicated his career to serving his hometown, establishing a practice that is synonymous with quality care and compassion.

With over 44 years of experience as a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Roberson's expertise is complemented by his role on the staff at Centerpoint Medical Center. His commitment to patient care extends beyond the dental chair, as he actively participates in various community organizations, including Give Kids A Smile, Dental Lifeline Network, Community of Christ, and the Kiwanis Club. Through these initiatives, he strives to improve oral health access and education for all residents in Independence.

Dr. Roberson’s passion for community service extended into his role as a City Councilman, a position he held from April 2014 until June 2020.   His leadership reflects his dedication to making Independence a better place to live and work, and he continuously seeks opportunities to foster a vibrant and supportive environment for families.

When he is not at the office or serving the community, Dr. Roberson enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Carol, whom he married 44 years ago, and their three daughters, all graduates of Truman High School. The family has grown to include three son-in-laws, eight  grandchildren, and four beloved grand-dogs, all of whom bring joy to his life.
