A 1972 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Strasser trained at the world-renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma & finished his training in general surgery at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. Finally, he completed his residency in plastic surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York

Continuously educating himself and his patients about the effects of plastic surgery, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American College of Legal Medicine.
