Dr. Lakhani graduated with his medical degree from the University of Karachi, Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He then completed his Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed his psychiatry residency and geriatric psychiatry fellowship from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.
