  • Why does cracking my back feel good?

Cracking your back feels good because it relieves tension and pressure as gas releases from your joints and makes the cracking sound. The downside of cracking your own back instead of going to a Chiropractor and getting professionally adjusted is that it causes your joints to become hypermobile. Ligamentous laxity occurs from self adjusting, especially if it is often. Your joints will become hypermobile and not hold a correct adjustment for long when you do get a Chiropractic adjustment. Although self adjusting your back feels good and can be addictive, I would advise that you decrease the frequency or altogether stop self adjusting. Take care! READ MORE

  • How do you treat knee pain?

Treating knee pain depends on what is causing the pain. There are many ligaments that attach the patella. If it a patellar tracking issue, that can be helped by stretching the IT band muscle and strengthening the VMO muscle of the quadricep. I'd recommend finding out what the cause of the knee pain is through orthopedic exams that can be done at a Chiropractic office or knee specialist/Orthopedic Doctor. READ MORE

  • How do you professionally crack someone's back?

Hello, A person can legally and professionally "crack" or adjust another person only after you get a License in Chiropractic care from the State you plan to adjust in. Each state has their own rules and regulations of what is approved for being within a Chiropractic scope of practice. A person can get a Chiropractic License after graduating from an accredited Chiropractic College and completing the necessary prerequisite classes to get accepted into Chiropractic College. You will also be required to pass 6 parts of board exams given by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE). READ MORE

  • Shoulder question?

Many times, "pops" or "clicks" at the shoulder can be indicative of a labrum tear. The only way to confirm that is by taking a shoulder MRI. I recommend that you see a shoulder specialist or have an initial exam done with orthopedic tests to rule in or out a labrum tear. READ MORE
