Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Elizabeth Bass Daughtry, who serves patients throughout the State of North Carolina.

A top professional in the field of foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Daughtry is affiliated with Foot & Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, tending to patients at their offices in Cary and Dunn, North Carolina. 

Foot & Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic is one of the largest podiatric groups in the United States and was founded by a dynamic group of forward-thinking successful podiatrists. Their group of physicians use state of the art, podiatry-specific technology and software to stay on top of today’s changing medical trends and provide their patients with the highest quality care.

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Meredith College, Dr. Daughtry pursued her passion for medicine by attending Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, where she received her doctorate. 

Her commitment to providing the best possible care for her patients led her to attend one of the largest and most prestigious podiatric residencies in the Mid-Atlantic region at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. During her three-year surgical residency, she received comprehensive training in both elective and non-elective care in foot and ankle surgery, including forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, trauma, and wound care for limb salvage.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery, the doctor is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and can be found on staff at WakeMed Cary, Sampson Regional Medical Center, and Harnett Health System. Furthermore, she serves as Secretary on the Executive Board of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society and as Treasurer of the American Association for Women Podiatrists, where she has also served as Conference Chair.

A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. When not working, Dr. Daughtry enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband Michael Daughtry, a musician, and their daughter Anika. She also enjoys playing music, scrapbooking, and other arts and crafts. Despite her busy schedule, she makes time to pursue her hobbies and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
