He went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Medical Science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where he remained to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Subsequently, he completed his neurological surgery residency training at several facilities, including OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Advocate Christ Medical Center, and Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident. He also completed pediatric neurosurgical rotation at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
To further his expertise and training, Dr. Kroll pursued a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at The Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, affiliated with the University of South Florida, where he received advanced training in tumors of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves, as well as awake craniotomies and complex spine procedures.
Along with his clinical experience, he has been published extensively in medical journals and book chapters for research in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and microbiology, in addition to giving presentations on his work.
