He then completed a fellowship at Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABS).
