Dr. Sara Florida is an acupuncturist and integrative medicine practitioner in Houston, TX. Dr. Florida evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncture is the placement of very fine acupuncture needles into specific trigger points on the body. Stimulating these points and nerves is how Dr. Florida treats the patients condition. Many of the body systems respond well to acupuncture. It can treat physical pain as well as emotional stress. She has specialties in mood and emotional disorders as well as digestive health. She treats more than 80 conditions.  She focuses on how the many aspects of health including mood, sleep, energy levels and brain function are related to the digestive function. Her treatments and therapies treat all of these areas for whole health healing. In addition to Oriental Medicine she uses functional medicine to help improve  injuries, pain, and mental emotional well being. She is an author and speaker on integrative medicine, acu-yoga, emotional and digestive health using integrative medicine.
