Recognized as one of Atalnta’s Top Doctors in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Sharon is in practice with Obstetrics & Gynecology of Atlanta. He is also involved in the management of Atlanta Women’s Health Group, serving as the Executive Vice President.

It is the mission of Obstetrics & Gynecology of Atlanta is to provide the highest quality obstetrical and gynecological care available in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The practice is devoted solely to the care of women and finding the best solution to their healthcare needs.

With a passion for his profession, Dr. Sharon became interested in OB/GYN due to its combination of primary care for women and the many advancing technologies that have been developing over the past 20 plus years for OB/GYN patients. His areas of interest include ultrasound, robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, pelvic relaxation, treatment for fibroids, minimally invasive surgery, and primary care.

Almost a homegrown Atlantan, Dr. Sharon graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University in 1986. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Emory University SChool of Medicine in 1990, after which he performed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory Hospital in 1994, serving as chief resident and best house office.

Specializing in women’s health, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Serving as the Co-Chair of the Northside Perinatal Services Committee, Dr. Sharon is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In the state of Georgia, he is affiliated with Northside Hospital Atlanta, Northside Hospital Cherokee, and Northside Hospital Forsyth.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause.
