Get to know Neurologist and Neurophysiologist Dr. Neda Heidari, who serves patients in Ventura, California.

Dr. Heidari is a board-certified neurologist & neurophysiologist who has always held an interest in beauty, so she became an aesthetic physician as well. She founded NedaMedica Laser in Ventura, California to help patients achieve beauty for the mind, body, and soul.

Working with patients who are trying to achieve more joy and satisfaction in their lives through personal improvement, she specializes state-of-the-art, non-invasive laser treatments, including: skin rejuvenation & tightening, fat reduction, and vaginal revitalization.

Focusing on rejuvenation of the body and inner satisfaction, NedaMedica offers the most advanced and innovative non-invasive laser technologies for the face and body. In addition to laser treatments, Dr. Heidari can help patients “turn back the clock” with a full suite of chemical peels and facial injectables, including lip fillers, Botox, Juvéderm, and other dermal fillers.

She treats a variety of neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease / dystonia, stroke / vascular disorders, migraines / headache disorders, memory loss / dementia, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, pain disorders, traumatic brain injury, movement disorders, sleep disorders, nurse and muscle disorders, and seizure disorders. 

Likewise, some of the procedures that she performs include electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction study, electroencephalography (EEG), Botox for chronic migraine, Botox for dystonia/spasm, nerve block, evoke potential (EP), and video EEG monitoring.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Dr. Heidari graduated with her medical degree from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine in 2001. She then relocated to the United States, performing her internship and residency in neurology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006 and 2009, respectively. She also completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in neurology and clinical neurophysiology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Heidari is affiliated with Community Memorial Hospital.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

Neurophysiology is a discipline within the health sciences that deals with the measurement and assessment of nervous system function, rather than the anatomy of the nervous system. This field helps to diagnose and monitor the progress of nervous disorders. Clinical neurophysiologists investigate and diagnose disorders of the nervous system, including a range of conditions affecting the functioning of the muscles (neuromuscular disease).

When she is not busy in the office, Dr. Neidari spends time with her family traveling, dancing, and volunteering at under-served communities. She is the mother of three beautiful girls.
