Get to know Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Anthony J. Ricketti, who serves patients in Trenton, New Jersey.

Dr. Ricketti is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who tends to patients at Mercer Allergy & Pulmonary Associates, LLC in Trenton, New Jersey. There, he offers numerous state-of-the-art diagnostic services and treatments for both adults and children.

Professionally, the doctor also serves as Chief of the Section of Allergy & Immunology and Director of Respiratory Care at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. He holds the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University – Graduate Medical Education and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Prior to his current endeavors, he served as an attending physician at Allergy & Pulmonary Associates, PA (1990-2014), Chair of the Department of Medicine at St. Francis Medical Center (1998-2013), Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University – Graduate Medical Education (2006-2013), and attending physician at Hopewell Valley Medical Associates (1983-1990).

Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Dr. Ricketti went on to earn his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He then completed his fellowships in allergy & immunology and pulmonary medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1983 and 1984, respectively. 

The doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also board-certified through the American Board of Allergy & Immunology, which establishes qualifications and examines physicians to become recognized specialists in allergy and immunology. 

For the purpose of advancing his professional development, he remains an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Thoracic Society, the Mercer County Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the New Jersey Thoracic Society, the New Jersey Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Pennsylvania Allergy & Asthma Association. Moreover, he is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. 

In addition to being a Past President of the Mercer County Medical Society and serving on the Public Health Committee of the Medical Society of New Jersey, Dr. Ricketti served as a Manuscript Reviewer for the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and Allergy & Asthma Proceedings.

Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Ricketti is a four-time recipient of the Best Attending Teacher Award as selected by the internal medicine residents of the St. Francis Medical Center/ Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, Graduate Medical Education program. He has also been awarded the title of “New York Metro Area Top Doctor” yearly for the past 20 years as selected by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.
