George M. Lyon III, MD, is a leading Infectious Disease Specialist currently serving patients at Emory Clinic and Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia. After earning his medical degree in 1994 at Marshall University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and his fellowship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lyon III is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, he maintains a professional membership with the American Medical Association, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Society of Transplantation, and the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation.
