Dr. Sosa is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has a long-standing personal interest in the fields of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Bloomfield Plastic Surgery is a premier cosmetic center that specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of the face, breasts, skin, and body. With a personal passion for the art of aesthetic and reconstructive treatment, along with a bedside manner that has frequently been recognized and complimented, Dr. Sosa is committed to helping each of his patients achieve a fresh, ideal appearance. Dr. Sosa holds hospital privileges at William Beaumont Hospital and Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus.
Dr. Sosa earned his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan in 1993. He completed his surgical residency under the mentorship of Dr. Ian T. Jackson at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He later moved to New York, where he completed a fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery at the world renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital alongside Dr. Sherrell Aston and Dr. Daniel Baker.
Dr. Sosa is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons, the Oakland County Medical Society, the Wayne State University School of Medicine Alumni Association, and the Midwest Medical Mission.
Dr. Sosa is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is a certifying board for plastic surgeons in the United States. It was organized as a subsidiary of the American Board of Surgery in 1938 and given the status of a major specialty board in 1941. Dr. Sosa has been recognized by Hour Detroit magazine as a “Top Doc” in the area for multiple years. He is known for consistently delivering aesthetically-pleasing and natural-looking outcomes to his patients.
