Get to know Radiologist, Dr. Mark C. Glass-Royal, who serves patients in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

A highly experienced Diagnostic and  Interventional Radiologist, Dr. Glass-Royal is in practice with Washington Radiology Associates, a Division of Solis Mammography. 

A graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine, he went on to further his training with a Medical Internship at the Washington Hospital Center, and Residency and Fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Glass-Royal holds a Master of Science degree in Anatomy from the University of Maryland, and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Glass-Royal is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR.) The ABR oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics. After a 32-year career with Frederick Health in Frederick, Maryland, including multiple terms as Chairman of Radiology and President of Radiology Associates of Frederick, in 2022 Dr. Glass-Royal transitioned to practice with Washington Radiology Associates, where he continues to pursue both his commitment to professional excellence and compassionate patient care. 

Radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options. Interventional radiologists use minimally invasive and imaging-guided procedures to treat diseases.
