Breast Cancer - Inflammatory

Foreword
I’m honored to introduce you, the reader, to this book. The topic of cancer is something that has touched most of our lives in significant ways. Chances are, either you or someone you love has been impacted directly. In this book you will be enwrapped in the story of a cancer survivor and the struggle of living when the monster of cancer engulfs your life.

I have had the privilege of walking alongside Marcy as her therapist as she has settled into her life as a survivor and what that looks like for her and her family. Part of her journey of healing emotionally has been writing her own story, which she has graciously and authentically shared with you in the following pages.

Each of us deals with hardship in life. It may not be cancer for you or your loved one but there has been and will be hardship nonetheless. In this book Marcy shares her experience of battling through that hardship. She wrestles with finding hope when things feel hopeless and living with a debilitating illness with nothing but questions about what the future may hold.

She shares pieces of what was most helpful in her darkest days and what brought light into her darkest nights. She honestly exposes her own self-doubt, times when courage was lacking, and the support she had that allowed her to cling to hope.

This book will increase your understanding of the journey of someone battling cancer and give you a front-row seat into their heart and mind. It will help you learn to better support a loved one going through a season of hardship, whether that is battling cancer or something else. It will redefine your idea of healing and hope following a life-changing diagnosis.

I invite you to enter her story, read her thoughts and experiences, and find hope in the pages of her life laid out before you.
