Give us a bit of your backstory. How did you learn you had cancer?

I was bloated for such a prolonged time that I went to my doctor to check on it. She told me I was constipated. I knew that. The nurse set up an appt. with a different doctor in the practice b/c she was well-informed. He examined me and sent me immediately to an oncologist, who, upon doing a pelvic, suspected OC.

What do you do to stay positive for yourself and your family?

I aim to not focus on my cancer. That isn't the most important thing about me. I aim to do positive things that make my family and my community better places.

What is the best advice you would give to someone recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer?

I would suggest you talk to your oncologist about the possibility of a clinical trial.
