Spinal Stenosis is closure of the neural canal due to wear and tear on the adjacent vertebral segments. What you need to seek is WHY? It happens in first place rather than masking the pain signals/symptoms with RX’s.
#1 cause is abnormal positioning of the joints, #2 repetitive wear and tear to the misaligned structures #3 the over load on surrounding soft tissues. Your chiropractor can help you identify 1,2&3 via a good history/ full exam and diagnostic findings. To determine a correct course of action to

Namaste!
It depends on the severity. Medical wise until it is severe enough for surgery not much to do some PT. Chiropractic adjustment helps restore motion and correcting posture will help slow the rate of degeneration of spine. Take your MRI/xrays to a good chiropractor and have an examination. This has been going on for years and will take some time to stabilize.
Depends on how sevete and were you born woth it or is it caused by a disc bulge
Spinal stenosis means narrowing of the spine. It can happen in different
places some being much more serious than others.
Spinal stenosis is serious. It can create a lot of pain. It might help to do some gentle stretching, keep talking to your neurosurgeon about new techniques that might be able to help you.
Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the spinal canal where the nerves pass by . So there is more pressure on the nerves within the spine.
In general, how serious spinal stenosis is would depend on location, the severity of the stenosis, and what your symptoms are. It is possible to have spinal stenosis and not have any symptoms since no nerves are being compressed. But, it is also possible to have spinal stenosis with debilitating pain/symptoms . . . and everything in between.
I cannot speak for others but there are degrees of spinal stenosis. Some of which require surgery. Have you tried chiropractic care? Sometimes it helps to improve individual joint movement so you would be able to get pain relief. I do treat clients with spinal stenosis and it does give them relief.
I hope no one thought Spinal Stenosis wasn't serious. It can cause terrible symptoms and pain. I have helped many people reduce the symptoms it causes and help slow its progression.
Spinal stenosis can still be a serious condition. It just depends on the patient and the severity of the stenosis. Stenosis, if not treated properly, can produce symptoms such as numbness, tingling, radiating pain down your extremities.
They say it because they can't fix it or prescribed a drug for it. Try Spinal Decompression.
Stenosis is a serious condition that can severely affect your quality of life as you get older. Chiropractors use a very helpful traction and adjustment protocol to help with symptoms and improve spinal health.
Why do they say that? How do they treat it? Have you been evaluated by a chiropractor?
I am not sure of the context in which a doctor you heard saying that “it’s just spinal stenosis”? It could be that they were expecting the pathology to be far worse than what they found on your imaging studies. That being said, Spinal Stenosis is a potentially serious condition that usually requires active treatment or in some cases, Spinal Surgery. The key is to try to catch this condition when it is only mild verses severe spinal stenosis. If the condition is caused because of spinal misalignment and subsequent degenerative arthritis of the spine, then Chiropractic treatment along with specific exercises can help in avoiding Surgery. Yet, if it progressed to a severe case of spinal stenosis, Chiropractic would probably not give you the relief your looking for or stop Surgery from happening in the future. Early diagnosis and treatment is the key to success with this condition.
