Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Thomas F. Morley, who serves patients in New Jersey.

Recognized as a skilled pulmonologist, Dr. Morley diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the respiratory tract. He works within the Department of Pulmonology at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, seeing patients at the offices in Stratford and Sewell, New Jersey.

Respiratory illnesses not only affect overall health, but also quality of life. The team of pulmonologists within the Department of Pulmonology at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine are dedicated to improving patients’ day-to-day symptoms through customized treatment plans. Whether long-term or short-term care is necessary, they work with each patient to diagnose, analyze, and develop a plan specifically tailored for them. In addition to expertise in the areas of respiratory tract diseases and lung conditions, such as COPD, asthma, and bronchitis, the team also provides at-home sleep studies and coordinated care with the internal medicine department.

Completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979, Dr. Morley went on to further his training. He performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals – University Medical Center Stratford.

Holding over four decades of experience, he is board-certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dr. Morley is affiliated with Jefferson Stratford Hospital, Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and Virtua Willingboro Hospital.

In addition to being a Master of the American College of Osteopathic Internists (MACOI), he is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM).

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

In honor of his clinical expertise, Dr. Morley has been the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions, including: Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2018).
