Vershalee Shukla, MD, DABR, is a radiation oncologist with 21 Century Oncology of Arizona. She works in multiple locations across the state, including Sun City, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. With extensive training in multiple oncology modalities such as Gamma Knife, Cyberknife, Novalis Brain Lab, and Brachytherapy, Dr. Vershalee Shukla believes in a comprehensive, integrative, patient-centered approach to treating cancer. She treats all cancer requiring radiation with a particularly strong interest in brain tumors. Dr. Shukla is also on staff with the National Hospital System, Banner Bowell, and Banner Del E. Webb. She received her degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 2004 and completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. She underwent additional training in protons and heavy ion radiation in Heidelberg, Germany, in one of the few centers in the world that offers this type of radiation treatment, the University of Heidelberg Heavy Ion Therapy Center. She also conducted her University of Texas School of Health Information Sciences Research Fellowship and became certified in radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Shukla remains a distinguished member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American Radiation Society, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
